It's a wonder what a good home-cooked meal can do for you.

Amy and I collaborated on a meal last night - broiled lamb chops, baked potatoes, and steamed fresh green beans. She made the veggies and marinated the lamb, while I cooked it, and it ended up that perfect type of medium-rare - not too pink, but very tender.

People deny their urges because of the media's infatuation with overly skinny women, yet there's nothing sexier than a *good* meal. Salads, vegan food, junky fast food, and gluttony are not sexy. A nice meal with appropriate portions and in good surroundings is.

Some vegan food is good....but nicely done meat stokes both hunger *and* libido in me...:)

uh....ok......just saying that my id impulses are somewhat related, and good food and good sex complement each other.

What you've said made me think of two films you should see, if you haven't already: Like Water For Chocolate, and Tortilla Soup.

You just surprised me: Vegan food is not sexy? Somehow, I thought you guys were vegan. My apologies.

I think vegan fare is bizarre, as was that ersatz turkey carcass moulded out of tofu I saw on television a few weeks ago. (It was more like a turkey-shaped bowl where underneath you could put whatever you wanted inside as stuffing.) I don't understand the mentality where one doesn't want to eat flesh, yet instead will eat something that looks like it. Talk about denying one's urges.

Maybe Amy, but not me....you've had meals with me, and I've eaten meat most every time - I'm not into eating 12 oz. of steak for dinner very often, but I usually do eat meat.

If I have heart trouble later in life, I might cut out most, if not all, meat....but I'd probably go toward chili, roasted vegetables, and pasta dishes, rather than fake meat.
