Mind Go Blank...

Happy Birthday, Cap!
I've sort of blanked out on what I need to do this afternoon, even though I'm doing the little things I need to do to move cases along. Maybe spending the last 10 minutes at work this afternoon planning the next day will move these cases along...
I listened to both Shrub's speech last night and Colin Powell's speech this morning, and am not surprised at either man's performance. Shrub didn't sound like he even believed what he was saying, while Powell was animated and conveyed assertiveness without being bellicose.
Not that anything I say, and probably little I do, makes any difference.
Earlier this week, Amy and I went to see Calexico - fun, fun time. It's always good to see a tight-as-hell band like them....and painful to see one of the opening acts, a Swedish (or maybe Russian) singer/guitarist who performed in a slurry blues style, more an imitation of Howlin' Wolf than an actual voice.
Oh Lisa, the Penguins suck.
