I think I've mentioned here before that when my sister and I were much younger we trained the cat to jump into the sink when she was hungry. We thought it would be really cool if the cat could communicate with us that way. What didn't occur to us was that cats are ALWAYS hungry, and they have no problem communicating this to their humans.
That cat is (keyn aynore) still around, and still does this when we visit our parents. She only does it for my sister and me, and she rarely actually jumps IN the sink (she's old, what do you want?) she usually just stands under it. But I'm sure she would still climb into it if we didn't feed her right away.
