Just coming down from the morning speedball (Bloody Marys and coffee) and the traditional Christian plate of bagels, lox, cucumber, tomato, onion, and capers.

Amy added to my Fiestaware collection with a butter dish and spoon rest, along with a crab-print towel, and I got her several pairs of funky socks from Sock Dreams.

Time to relax before going to Brendan and Jill's to give Kieran his present, then celebrate Jewmas with Chinese food and a movie.

Our Jewmas started with a showing of M. Hulot's Holiday, a slapstick movie about a mostly-oblivious man who goes around a French seaside town accidentally causing trouble. Ever wonder where the French got their love of Jerry Lewis from? This was slapstick like Lewis did, years before. Funny, funny movie, and the focus wasn't always on the bumbling M. Hulot.

Then we had Chinese food at the Ambassador...
