This is the time when Portland sucks less.
Apr. 5th, 2009 11:51 amEarly April usually brings a well-deserved, but temporary, end to the crushing gray and wet of a Pacific Northwest winter.
It's happened before - a weekend of perfect sunny weather in the 60s and 70s, a tease before a little bit more of the 40-50s and drizzle.
Too bad I had to spend most of yesterday inside - the lawyer I am doing work for wanted me to work yesterday to help clean out a backlog of work - but it got done, and without the mishegas of too many appointments or phone calls.
The lawyer knows I know my stuff, but have about 25 years less experience in bankruptcy law than him. The challenge is going to be time management between my practice (which I'll keep going with my old clients until they all have filed) and the new job.
It's weird to have things going well in your life with friends losing their jobs and two recent massacres in where I used to live (Pittsburgh) and where friends live (Binghamton), though.
