Woo Hoo! Sixburgh....
Feb. 2nd, 2009 12:36 amWatched the Super Bowl, of course - Brendan and I went over to the A&L Sports Pub, Portland's largest Steeler bar, and met
synthcat there - the second time this weekend. (Amy and I saw his band, the Tar Plains, play Friday night.)
This probably was the most exciting Steeler Super Bowl, even though the defensive breakdown that led to Arizona's last touchdown made it unnecessarily close. We had 'em all the way, though...
I missed most of the ads, which is a good thing. I never understood why people care about the Super Bowl ads except to make fun of them; they'll suck, just like they do 99% of the time. When you see a fresh dog turd on the sidewalk, you don't need to stop and sniff it just to make sure it smells as bad as every other one.
And if you're destroying or burning stuff in Oakland to celebrate, you're a jagoff.
