Teh heat...
Jun. 25th, 2006 08:58 pm...means melted cats and melted humans.
However, last night, Amy and I had a good time (and even danc ed....don't worry, it wasn't that embarrassing) at the NW Tiki-Kon party last night at the Jupiter Hotel. Even though my knees sometimes creaked, I didn't dance too badly, and I won a gift certificate to the Avalon vintage store in the raffle.
We went to the pool today for a couple of hours, then I made trout almandine, roasted new potatoes, and asparagus for dinner. It turned out perfect, and we retired to watch a documentary on Kamchatka, the cold, wild Siberian peninsula. (I might pull out the Arctic Doctor memoir as well - we already watched March of the Penguins a few months ago.)
Anyone have any ideas for media that will cool us down?
(And also, I noticed that the "hot" mood is right below "horny". There's nothing that will kill the libido more than 100 degree heat and no AC. I don't even know why anyone associated "hot" and "steamy" with sex....my idea of a sexy situation is a frigid night where you have to stay close to stay warm...)
