Being quasi-domesticated, I don't go out drinking enough to knock down the demons which threaten to send me to a house in the suburbs. I ended up going out both Friday and Saturday night this week.
pilarcruz is back from Korea, and a few of her friends took Teechur out bar-hopping. Ports of call: Shanghai Tunnel, Hung Far Low, Saucebox, V(agina)irgina Cafe. Met her sister Enema, met up with Little Piss at a time when she wasn't suffocating me in a cab. Alcohol will not bite me and throw me in the basement, especially when I've learned to enjoy the drinks instead of go for mass consumption.
Friday night, I went to the Virginia Cafe with people from the place I do contract work for, then went to see Kung Fu Hustle, a very silly martial arts movie.
Tomorrow, I might be headed to the symphony with Amy - featured performance is Debussy's "La Mer."
And yeah, I find it ironic that the guys who fought for our right to party 20 years ago are now the peacemakers, while the President is one of the drunken frat boys who, if he was 10 years younger, would have been going "FUCK YEAH!" at the Beasties of 20 years ago.
