I'm following news regarding the protests against the FTAA conference in Miami.

Police have arrested hundreds and attacked crowds with pepper spray and rubber bullets and clubbed people over the head with batons.

Miami Police Chief John Timony said "lots of objects were thrown at the police officers." Judging from protests I've seen, his comment can be summed up in one word: BULLSHIT. Let the video show the truth.

Police also arrested people in front of the jail for so-called "failure to disperse" after being given a "lawful order".

Unilaterally suspending the First Amendment because you don't agree with the message being said is not "lawful." It is unconstitutional. And arresting and attacking people who insist on standing up for their constitutional rights is not law enforcement. It is terrorism.
