Jul. 8th, 2003 04:30 pmYeeg....clients who were supposed to come at 3:30 no-showed....they were supposed to sign their bankruptcy petition, too. And for good reason....they were scheduled for Wednesday, but I wrote it into my appointment book for today!
I got another potential client to come in for an appointment next week; if they come in to the office, it's usually a good bet they'll sign on with me. I think i did a good job explaining to her what bankruptcy entails and the difference between a Chapter 7 and a Chapter 13 petition, and why a 7 appeared to be better for her than a 13.
Very, very bad news this morning....I heard Chez What? will shut down at the end of the week - it's been up on Alberta for about nine years. I've gotten to know many of the cast of characters (and they are characters!) who work there. Watch them put a fucking Starbucks there.
