My clients came in and signed the settlement agreement for my first lawsuit settlement since opening up my practice. It was hard work for the amount of money I got, but it's probably better to have a difficult case at the start.

I organized a group of University of Chicago alumni to go to the Portland Winter Hawks game Saturday night. The Hawks aren't having a good year, but they won, 5-0. Yes, what the article says is true; Saturday was Teddy Bear Toss night, where fans were encouraged to throw plish onto the ice after the Winter Hawks scored their first goal. The plish would be given to children in the hospital or who needed a Christmas present. Fans threw 4,235 plish onto the ice or turned them in to ushers/team staff....it took about a half-hour to clean up the thousands of plish on the ice. (Joey Hope, who scored the first goal, was the #1 star; he had two goals and hit the post with another shot, which a forward put in on the rebound.)

I survived shopping in Beaverton Saturday afternoon; it is the seventh or eighth circle of hell. (I had to go out there to interview a prospective University of Chicago student.) I'm not going out there again unless another student from there wants an interview, and I can't pawn it off on someone else....)

I won my fantasy football game this weekend and play Brendan in the finals for the big bucks...woooooo!
