I still don't know why anyone calls anything that's sexy "hot". Heat kills the libido and all other idcentric impulses. It makes you do nothing more than want to sit in front of a fan and floop.

Nevertheless, we tried to cope with the heat this weekend. We saw, and enjoyed, Over the Hedge and Clerks II. Amy knew I'd be amused by Shatner's performance in OtH, and I knew that Amy would go "Shut up, that's not funny" while laughing at Clerks II.

I also pointed out that the characters in Clerks II were "her people" - an establishing shot of the Wendy's was taken very close to her sister's former house near Holmdel. (It's the Middletown Wendy's, in zip code 07748. We ate there once a year and a half ago - it's near the sign for "Kings Highway" at Route 35 they show in the establishing shot.)

The shooting set for the Moobys was in Buena Park, CA - about 3 blocks from where I lived. It is near the corner of Stanton and Crescent.

I got a kick out of Over The Hedge.

I've actually seen more movies this summer than I have in YEARS AND YEARS. Hmmm.

Well, at a certain point you can't get any hotter, and you're already wearing the minimum amount of clothes, so you know...plus, there's nothing on tv!
