I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I'd put one up at the end of my lunch break.
Amy and I have started to hack up our front yard for plants; we dug a trench on either side of the front steps for a couple of flower beds, as well as planting elsewhere in the front yard.
We saw the band Rollerball last night - they were an avant-garde band with a trumpet player, saxophonist, keyboard/accordion player, bassist, and drummer. Sometimes they sounded like free jazz, other times they drifted into klezmer and Mexican-sounding music. Very idiosyncratic, and very entertaining.
(AllMusic entry on Rollerball: This Portland, Oregon group are not easy to pigeonhole, as they veer from mellow but dark pop songs to completely skronky improvisation. With male and female vocals, a variety of instruments, and a willingness to throw electronics into the blend, Rollerball are a highly creative entity.)
I've been under too much stress and have had recurrences of the more severe depression I had about 6 years ago. The stress of starting up my own practice has aggravated it, and I have started going to a therapist for it. I am considering antidepressants, so long as they don't cause more problems than they solve (the SSRIs, in particular, I'm leery of).
