Hello, mortality shock.
Dec. 8th, 2009 03:45 pmI just found out on Facebook that someone I knew from high school died last night - of natural causes. (Heart failure due to a an apparent previous viral infection.)
She wasn't a close friend or an ex - she was one of the 2000 people who attended our school, and may have been a little more familiar since she was a year above me. But it's still an unwelcome reminder of mortality for everyone of our age cohort, not to mention a tragedy for the families involved.
