Ending a busy day....started off with a routine 341 hearing in a bankruptcy case downtown, then led into a couple hours observing a protest against John Ashcroft coming to town.
Approximately 400 people showed up, pretty good for only two days' notice. The cops generally behaved themselves, although some mental giant decided to send out the goon squad (Portland Police RRT riot cops) as the protest was starting to break up.
Instead of intimidating the crowd, it angered the crowd. (The cops weren't foolish enough to pepper-spray the crowd; they know that peeps like me will put a suit on their ass - it's the American way!)
After that, worked most of the rest of the day on topics related to the August 22 Bush protest lawsuit....and am dead tired. Pizza, beer and old MST3Ks sound good now....
